Ann Gordon is a partner in the private investment firm of Dubilier & Co. There, she has primary responsibility for buying, investing and building media firms for Dubilier & Co.’s portfolio. She joined Dubilier & Co. after having worked for daily newspapers for almost 25 years, in a wide variety of management roles. For the last five years, she was responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations of The Philadelphia Inquirer in its print and online versions. As managing editor for the Inquirer, Anne was one of a handful of women editors at large metro dailies in America. Earlier, she worked for The Plain Dealer in Cleveland, The Denver Post and several other daily pubs. Anne is a 2001 Eisenhower Fellow who studied online media issues in Finland and Sweden, with a special emphasis on wireless research and development with Nokia and Ericsson. Anne joined the advisory board of SemDirector, a San Diego-based software firm that targets the media market. She is also a board member of Good Magazine, based in Los Angeles.

Brian Garrett is a Co-Founder and Managing Director of Crosscut Ventures. Prior to co-founding Crosscut, Mr. Garrett was a Partner at Palomar Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Santa Monica, California. Mr. Garrett joined Palomar in 2001 and played an active role in managing and investing two funds over 6 years totaling more than $400 million. While at Palomar, he was the sponsor of and/or an active board member in nine Palomar portfolio companies, including successes such as Entone (a video on demand company), Lombardi (business process management software) and Datallegro (data warehouse appliance company). Prior to Palomar, Mr. Garrett was the Director of Business Development at Niku Corporation. Prior to Niku, Mr. Garrett was an analyst with a boutique strategy consulting firm called R.B. Webber & Company. Mr. Garrett worked with numerous early-stage technology companies including CommerceOne, Inktomi, Sagent, Aurum and Broadbase. Mr. Garrett received his MBA from Stanford's Graduate School of Business and he graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering.

John Rollins was Executive Vice President of Accretive Care, LLC, a built-for-purpose business that works with Fortune 500 companies to increase the value of healthcare benefits for their employees – while relieving their employer from the undue burden of healthcare spending. Prior to leading this new venture, John enjoyed a career as a management consultant, working with companies on business strategy, information technology, capability-sourcing and program/project management. Several of his more interesting consulting relationships involved assisting new management teams define, design and launch large-scale new businesses. He retired from Accenture after 29 years in 2005, last serving as Managing Partner, Strategy, for the Products Operating Unit. He continues to consult with both large and start-up companies.

Jane Seagrave is SVP of Global Product Development for The Associated Press, after serving four years as head of AP’s commercial online division, AP Digital. In her role, Jane has specific responsibility for driving AP’s new product growth in all media and on all platforms as well as managing the existing product portfolio. A onetime reporter for the AP, Jane rejoined the cooperative in 2003 following a career in print and online publishing. She has been responsible for the worldwide marketing and sales of AP’s products and services to commercial web sites, wireless providers, governments, corporations and information resellers, as well as creation of new information products for emerging markets. Prior to re-joining the AP, Jane was CEO of localbusiness.com, a national news service that reported on the technology business sector. She also served as chief online strategy consultant for American Lawyer Media, where she oversaw the integration of that company with San Francisco-based law.com. Jane is a graduate of Bowdoin College and holds a Master's degree from Harvard University.
